Tri Zone Conference October 16, 2014

You will not find finer missionaries than these serving in the Durban South Africa Mission in these three zones.  They are wonderful young men serving from the USA and several countries here in Africa.  Their righteous efforts are bringing many people to the gospel.  It is exciting to be apart of this missionary force

This is the Bloemfontein Zone
They serve in Bloemfontein, Blomanda, Rocklands,
Kimberly, Botshabello and Thaba Nchu

This is the Bethlehem Zone
These Elders serve in Welkom, Kroonstad
Bethlehem and Phutiditjhaba

This is the Lesotho Zone (momentarily displaced because of a coupe)
These missionaries serve in the country of Lesotho in the cities of
Maseru, Massianokeng and Leribe.
We had a very spiritually uplifting as well as educational zone conference.  One of the things we learned about was how to effectively conduct and use nightly planning meeting to increase our missionary efforts.  The training was hands-on and very applicable.  Elder Berry and Elder Manhanha did a role play of nightly planning that was quite exaggerated but it helped bring out some good points that could be a problem with planning.  It was done in a fun way but was very affective.  I think we all got some good ideas that will help right now to improve nightly planning.

We also heard testimonies from those Elders who will be leaving before the next zone conference. Elder and Sister Carlile bore their testimonies.  We are going to miss them a lot when they leave at the end of December.   Elder Turner bore his testimony.  He left for Durban last week and will be release to go home this week.  His parents are coming to pick him up.  Elder  Chathyoka bore his testimony as well.  He still has a couple more transfers before he goes home but it is getting close. He was serving in Lesotho and has now been transferred to Thabong, near Welkom.

Lunch was wood fired pizza from St Elmo's and brownies provided by the Senior Sister Missionaries. The elders always seem to enjoy the pizza.  There is never any left over.  The brownies disappeared as well.  Elder and Sister Carlile always do a marvelous job of providing a delicious lunch.
